Privacy Policy
Effective October 25, 2026
1. What we collect
FineCal (“the app”) has no servers or analytics of its own. Your calendar and reminder data is never sent to us; if you connect Google Calendar, it travels only between your device and Google (section 7). To show a small banner ad at the bottom of the app to free users, the app uses Google AdMob (section 6). FineCal Pro users see no ads.
2. Calendars, reminders and to-dos
Only if you allow it, the app reads events and reminders from your device (EventKit) to show them in the app and in Home Screen widgets, saves the events and to-dos you add (to-dos are saved to Apple Reminders), and marks reminders complete when you tap them. This data is processed on your device only and is never stored elsewhere, sent or shared. You can revoke access at any time in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars / Reminders.
3. Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple. The app never receives your payment method or Apple Account details; it only checks the purchase status Apple provides on your device.
4. Settings
Settings such as the first day of the week and colors are stored on your device only (in the app group container) and are deleted when you delete the app.
5. Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Advertising (Google AdMob)
To show banner ads to free users, the app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device identifiers (the advertising identifier only if you allow it), IP address, approximate location, and ad impression and click information. The app does not ask for permission to track you across other apps and websites. In regions where consent is required, such as the EEA and UK, Google’s consent form is shown before any ads, and you can change your choice in the app under Settings > Ad Privacy Settings. 7. Google Calendar (optional)
If you choose to sign in with Google in the app, FineCal asks Google for permission to see your list of calendars, to see and add events, and to see your email address (only to label the connected account). The app talks to Google directly from your device. Events are cached on your device (in the app group container) so the app and widgets can show them offline, and are never sent to us or to anyone else. Sign-in tokens are kept in the iOS Keychain. You can disconnect at any time in the app under Settings > Calendar Accounts, which revokes access and deletes the tokens and cached data from your device; you can also remove access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
FineCal’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
